Between the Birthdays

The three of us took a little vacation up to Antonito, CO to ride the Cumbres & Toltec RR. We had a very nice & relaxing time "between the birthdays" (Steven's on the 21st, Clare's on the 26th), and I hope we can make it a regular thing to take a short trip this time every year.
For our honeymoon seven years ago, Steven & I stayed in Chama and rode the same RR. We took it halfway, from Chama to Osier and back. This time we did the other half. The highlight of this year's ride were the two tunnels the train goes through. The other end near Chama has more rocky cliffs and narrow ledges, though, which make for a more spectacular trip.

We also picnicked at Camel Rock on the way up.
